I Love the Library Community Art Show
To celebrate our 25th anniversary of the Provo City at Academy Square, the Gene Nelson Attic will be hosting “I Love the Library: A Celebration Through Art.”
Artists of all ages and abilities are invited to submit works of art depicting and inspired by the Provo City Library and the stories you find within its walls. Paint a picture of the building, create a collage inspired by your favorite novel, sculpt a scene celebrating all the things you love about reading.
Entries will be due at 11:59 PM Friday, May 22. Entrants will be notified of acceptance no later than Friday, June 12.
This show will run from Monday, June 29 – Friday, August 21. The Attic is open Monday – Friday from 3:30-8:00 PM. SHOW RULES1. Entrance in the show is limited to Provo City Library Cardholders.2. No more than 3 entries per participant. Entry in the show does not guarantee acceptance to the show.3. Art works must not depict nudity, extreme violent content, or use harsh language.4. Art works may not contain perishable materials or glitter.5. Art works need to adhere to the following guidelines: GUIDELINES FOR 2-D ART1. All pieces must be ready to hang with hanging wire. Framing is recommended, but not required.2. No piece may exceed 50 inches in any dimension.GUIDELINES FOR 3-D ART1. All pieces must be ready for safe display. If a piece needs to be placed in a display case, it must not exceed 16 inches in height.2. Non-breakable pieces must not exceed 60 inches in any dimension.* 3-D pieces may be excluded from the show if we feel we are unable to display them safely.All entries must be submitted electronically; complete this form and attach images where applicable.
