Dedham Art Association 2026 Members’ Spring Exhibit
At the Westwood Public Library and Online on our Website Gallery
Exhibit Dates: May 2 through May 29, 2026
All Dedham Art Association members are invited to exhibit in our Spring show. We hope you can all participate. The registration fee is $18 and each member artist may enter one artwork created within the past five years. Please follow the Exhibit Rules below or on our website under "Exhibits." No work larger that 30” x 40”. Cash awards will be presented. DAA does not deduct commissions on potential sales for this exhibit. Exhibit Rules (updated 2-6-26)
❖ Two-dimensional fine arts categories accepted include collage, digital art, drawing, painting, pastel, photography, printmaking or multi-media. Reproductions (e.g., giclée prints) and three-dimensional work (e.g., ceramics, jewelry and sculpture) are not eligible for exhibiting.❖ Artwork for all Dedham Art Association exhibits must be original work by theartist and not copied from other works. Examples of originals include from nature, from real life, from the artist’s imagination or the artist’s own photo. Pieces created by generative AI are not accepted. Art created in a class or workshop is not eligible for juried or judged exhibits if the artwork was copied and / or not by the artist’s own hand.❖ Juried and/or judged Dedham Art Association exhibits: artwork must not have been exhibited in the last three years in a Dedham Art Association juried and/or judged exhibit. Artwork should have been created within the last five years.❖ Entries should be unique for the exhibit so that the JPEG / artwork would be part of one exhibit at a time. For in-person exhibits the artwork should remain in place for the duration of the exhibit unless special arrangements are made. Once submitted, the entry is considered complete and cannot be altered. A signed waiver form is required.❖ JPEG entries of your artwork should be 72 ppi with 1200 pixels on the longest side. Save as the best quality. Please send an email to: DedhamArtAssociation@gmail.com if you need help with JPEGs.❖ Subject matter should be suitable for general audiences.❖ Commission: Artists receive 100% proceeds from sales. DAA does not retain anycommissions for this exhibit. For most exhibits, entries may be listed as Not For Sale (NFS).
Reception: Wednesday, May 7, 6:00 to 7:30pm, Westwood Library, 660 High Street, Westwood, MAEntry Deadline: April 24 at end of day.
All current Dedham Art Association members are invited to exhibit in our Fall Exhibit. We hope you can all participate. The registration fee is $18 and each member artist may enter one artwork. All entries will be in the exhibit that adhere to the Exhibit Guidelines. Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st., 2nd. and 3rd. place. Honorable Mentions will be recognized and a People’s Choice Award will be presented at the end of the exhibit. Please review the Exhibit Guidelines on our website: click here: Exhibit Guidelines. Or from the home page, click “Exhibits,” scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Exhibits Policy” and from there in the upper right click button “Download Guidelines PDF.” No work larger than 30” x 40.” DAA does not take a commission on sales. NFS (not for sale) is allowed. Awards Reception will be held May 7th from 6 until 7:30 pm.
As a reminder, the submitting artist is responsible for reporting and paying any governmental fees, including but not limited to sales tax.
WE USE THE PROGRAM ARTCALL FOR THE REGISTRATION AND ONLINE GALLERY. You will sign in and, if new to ArtCall, enter your own email and create a password. From there you will upload your JPEG, enter your Title, Dimensions, Image info (please note when entering dimensions you will need to fill in the depth as well. In most cases just add the number 1). Once your work is entered and uploaded a gallery will be created of all the entries that will be posted on our website when the exhibit opens. Please make every effort to use this program. ENTRIES USING ARTCALL. You will need an email address. If you have used this program for another ArtCall you can use the same log in. Click the Register & Apply button at top of screen and sign up with an email and a password. The $18 registration fee is payable by credit card. A video is available below explaining this process.
IMPORTANT DATES AND INSTRUCTIONS● CALL FOR ENTRIES: ARTCALL link for submissions will go live on April 1, 2026● SUBMISSION DEADLINE: April 24, 2026 at 11:59 PM● Please crop artwork JPEGs so no frame or mat shows, label the JPG file with: Your Name_Title_● If you need advice on how to take a JPEG of your artwork you can watch our YouTube video on how to photograph your artwork by Gail Fisher https://www.youtube.com/watch?...● May 1: Drop off your artwork 1-2 p.m. at the Westwood Library. **Make sure back of artwork is labeled with Name and Artwork Title. You can print out a label from your ArtCall entry.● May 2: Exhibit opens at Westwood Library and Online Gallery● May 7: Reception and Awards 6:00pm-7:30pm● Westwood Library Gallery, 660 High Street, Westwood, MA● May 30: Pick up artwork from 10am until noon. Please make arrangements for a representative to pick up your work if you are not available during this time frame.
