Capital City Camera Club Digital Photo Competition
The Capital City Camera Club in Raleigh, NC is a social organization of amateur and semi-professional photographers. The club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization based in Raleigh, NC. The Capital City Camera Club is now alternating "In Person" and "Virtual" meetings. The In Person meetings are the first Monday of each month and the third Monday meetings are online. The venue for the In Person meetings is Abbotts Creek Community Center in Raleigh.
INFORMATION:
Regional competition in the Triangle area of NC and surrounding communities.There are two categories of digital images—Monochrome and Color.Registration Fee: $40.00 for up to three (3) images.Maximum Number of Images: 3All photographers who placed will have the opportunity to participate in an
in-person Photography Exhibition at North Raleigh Café (NORA) in November 2025.
Judging of digital images submitted through ART CALL will be juried by a panel of three Jurors.
Participants will be notified by email as to which images are juried into the competition.
Capital City Cameral Club will display 20 to 30 selected images per jurors’ choices in an online Exhibitors’ Gallery.
Photographers whose images receive Awards, are requested to provide a 100-word biography.
There will be an online awards ceremony with comments by the jurors.
Winning Submissions will be published in “Walter” magazine Nov. 2025 issue.

JURORS
Ray Pfeiffer is the Founder/Director of A Photographers Place (aphotographersplace.photo), a gallery, maker and community space for photographers to learn, share and find support for their work.
In addition to his photographic practice he has guest lectured, judged at local camera clubs, and taught photography and understanding creativity for many educational and civic groups.
He has also served on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Panorama Photographers and as Board Chair and executive team member for the annual Click! Photography Festival (clickphotofest.org).
Susan Bailey is a freelance photographer and teacher, specializing in nature and garden photography. She was coordinator of the Triangle chapter of the Carolinas’ Nature Photographers Association (CNPA) and a Board member for 8 years. She has won many awards and exhibited around the Triangle. She holds the Photographic Society of America (PSA) Certification for judging and has judged in the Triangle and many online competitions for over 10 years. She is a member of CNPA, the Sandhills Photo Club and PSA. Susan currently lives in Southern Pines and organizes workshops and outings for the Sandhills Photo Club.
Laura Wall is the current Creative Director at Walter in Raleigh where she is responsible for assigning photography and other visuals, designing and producing a 100+ page monthly publication. Laura has over 25 years of art direction experience and has hired and retained nationally recognized photographers from all over the United States. Walter recently won the national Gold Ozzie design award for best regional/city publication and the Gold Award of Excellence from the North Carolina Press Association.
Prior to Walter, Laura created and launched successful magazines for Carlson Hospitality, Wells Fargo, Toyota, United Airlines and American Cancer Society. She has won over 100 national awards for art direction and design. Laura has recently been selected as a Getty contributing photographer.
